Specialist Education – Senior School – Years 7-12
Our Senior School is intentionally designed to provide a stimulating and supportive learning environment for each child as they move through their adolescence.
Our Senior School now offers an outstanding range of subjects for students to choose from. These include courses in English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, The Arts, Technologies (Design and Digital), Health and Physical Education and AUSLAN.
Our expanded subject offerings are designed to:
- Cater to diverse interests and strengths
- Provide clear pathways to achieve certifications including Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR), access TAFE at Schools, study certificates as part of Vocational Education and Training, and gain post-school employment
- Encourage deeper learning and personal growth
- Foster independence and responsibility in academic decision-making
From Year 8, students have the opportunity to choose from a range of elective subjects, allowing them to explore areas of personal interest, discover new passions, and enhance their educational journey. The elective subjects have been carefully designed to complement the core curriculum and provide a well-rounded educational experience.
We believe that giving students the opportunity to explore their passions and tailor their learning journey is key to their success and wellbeing. Our dedicated teaching staff are here to guide students through their choices and ensure they feel confident and supported as they move through the secondary years of their education.
Our teachers and allied health professionals collaborate with families to determine each student’s transition-out plan to see that our students can articulate life beyond learning at Mancel College.
