Beyond the Classroom

At Mancel College, we offer a broad range of activities within our Co-Curricular Program, intentionally designed to strengthen our students’ existing talents and encourage exploration and experience within new areas of interest.

We encourage our students to engage in different activities that assist in developing resilience in the face of change and a positive mindset to undertake new adventures.

Throughout the week, all students have access to our co-curricular clubs which are held before school, at lunchtime or after school. There are a wide variety of activities on offer including yoga, dance, chess, touch, cricket, E-sports, drama, cooking, Sense Rugby, choir and environment club.

Mancel College also collaborates with external partners to offer targeted development and extension programs in selected sports: All Abilities Junior Blaster Program with QLD Cricket, UQ Blues Cricket Academy Program, Primary OZ Kick and All Abilities touch with Hounds Touch Club.

Inter-House Events and Competitions

Throughout the year, students engage in inter-house activities and carnivals such as athletics and cross country to strengthen their student identity and sense of belonging through healthy competition and good sportsmanship.

The inter-house sports competitions provide further incentive for student engagement through recognition of student achievement and a sense of celebration – Age Champion trophies and awards are presented.

Finally, students are able to access a representative school sport pathway through our affiliation with Northern Eagles District and Metropolitan West.
